At Disney Experiences Technology, our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. The Disney Experiences Technology team is responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology and digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the MyDisneyExperience app and Hey, Disney!

This role sits in the Retail, Restaurant, and Supply Chain Technology organization within Disney Experiences Technology. It works closely with Product teams, Vendor partners and Operations partners from across the company. 

The Sr. Manager, Software Engineering will report to the Director, Software Engineering.

The Sr. Manager, Software Engineering within Disney Experiences Technology—Retail, Restaurant, and Supply Chain—is responsible for managing internal areas of responsibility while ensuring execution of the broader goals set by the team’s business partners.

What You’ll Do:

  • Delivers against the goals of the Parks Supply Chain Technology team, specifically on the strategic priorities of the organization including execution against the operating plan objectives for US Parks Supply Chain systems and operational metrics.

  • Oversees and manages engineering / development deliverables of the team; including oversight of features and functionality from a technical level. 

  • Collaborates with executives, senior managers, and key stakeholders to align on objectives. Engages with direct reports, peers, and external partners to interpret information and enhance cross-functional processes.

  • Manage and provide technical oversight of external vendor relationships and deliverables, including contract reviews and checkpoint assessments.

  • Monitor team functions and deliverables for efficiency, recommend automation and self-service tools, and align outputs with business objectives, including tooling for repetitive work being performed.

  • Collaborate with Program and Product Management on features, roadmaps, and budgets; escalate issues as needed.

  • Ensure training and development of direct reports through technical mentoring and soft-skill growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of full software development lifecycle experience

  • Minimum 7 years of Server Side and Backend End engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of Software Management

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS) or equivalent WMS systems. 

  • Experience with Warehouse Execution or Control Systems and associated technology stack

  • Experience in managing systems responsible for Inbound, Outbound, and Inventory movement of products within the Warehouses, Stores, and Restaurants.

  • Experience building use case driven software with Agile Software Development and Test-Driven Development methodologies

  • Experience managing Global platforms that can handle availability and support model that follows the sun.

Required Education:

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required

This role is onsite based in FL only.
