At Disney Experiences Technology (DXT), our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. The Disney Experiences Technology team is responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the MyDisneyExperience app and Hey, Disney!
Role Overview:
The Director, Product Management for Commercial Growth & Optimization is responsible for shaping and executing the comprehensive strategy for digital commercial growth at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, spanning both web and app platforms. This leader drives initiatives aimed at elevating guest engagement, maximizing conversion rates, minimizing friction throughout the booking funnel, and increasing monetization by delivering intuitive, data-driven, and guest-centric experiences.
A key focus of this role is to increase overall booking volume by optimizing every stage of the digital commerce funnel. The Director will leverage data analytics and empirical testing methods—such as A/B testing and rigorous performance measurement—to identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements that measurably boost site performance. This includes analyzing guest behaviors, pinpointing friction points, and championing solutions that streamline the booking process and drive commercial outcomes.
Additionally, the Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, analysts, engineers, UX designers, and business stakeholders—to ensure that all digital initiatives are aligned with Disney’s strategic priorities and deliver exceptional guest experiences. By fostering a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement, and accountability, this role will play a pivotal part in propelling the commercial success of Disney’s Parks & Resorts digital platforms.
This leadership position sits in the Digital Experience Technology (DXT) division on the Commerce team, reports to the VP, Revenue Management, Product Management, and Commerce Shared Services, and works closely with the Disney business and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading multiple teams of product managers, analysts, and engineers to deliver high-impact digital commerce solutions for Disney’s Parks & Resorts.
- ·Working directly across business teams to identify strategies and requirements to drive quantifiable value with data and analytics
- Oversee strategy and execution for the entire digital commerce funnel, driving guest engagement, conversion, and monetization across web and app platforms.
- Guide teams in developing and optimizing specialized product verticals, including Annual Pass, Magic Key, and park events.
- Champion a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision making, managing analytics platforms and A/B testing initiatives.
- Foster collaboration across product, UX, technology, design, and operations to implement scalable, guest-focused solutions.
- Represent Disney Experience Technology as a visible leader and advocate, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote innovation, accountability, and excellence, ensuring alignment with Disney’s strategic priorities and guest experience standards.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years in digital product management, eCommerce, or technology strategy, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
- Proven success in leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- ·Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical and strategic skills; expertise in Adobe Analytics, Content Square, and guest insights platforms.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing A/B testing frameworks, including proficiency with leading experimentation platforms and statistical analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of web and mobile technologies, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering concepts relevant to digital commerce environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, including familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and interpretation.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, partnering effectively with engineering, analytics, and UX teams to deliver scalable experiments.
- Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience facilitating cross-functional software delivery, especially in high-traffic consumer-facing environments.
- Ability to evaluate and optimize experiment design to ensure statistical validity, reliability, and actionable insights for business decision making.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
