Job Summary:

At Disney Experiences Technology, our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. The Disney Experiences Technology team is responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the MyDisneyExperience app and Hey, Disney!

About the Role & Team
The Enterprise Architect will play a pivotal role in the strategic integration of emerging platforms and business solutions across the DX businesses. You will guide architecture practices using the BlueDolphin repository, ensure consistency in metadata and taxonomy governance, and drive architectural excellence across domains. This role requires strong collaboration and communication with executive leaders, practice leaders, and cross-functional teams.

You will lead a team of architects, influence enterprise decision-making, champion platform thinking, and ensure technology practices are aligned with organizational goals. This is a highly visible leadership role with direct impact on business transformation and guest experience.


Key Responsibilities


**Architecture Leadership & Governance**

  • Lead architecture strategy and integration efforts for emerging platforms across DX businesses

  • Champion reusable architectural patterns and scalable technology practices

  • Ensure team compliance with the Architecture Review Board (ARB) process and support architecture scorecard adoption

  • Guide decision-making by defining architecture principles, standards, and patterns

  • Ensure architectural alignment with business strategies and organizational goals


**⠀Collaboration & Executive Engagement**

  • Partner with VPs, Directors, Sr. Managers, and other leaders to align architecture with enterprise goals

  • Communicate architectural decisions, rationale, and trade-offs to leadership and stakeholders

  • Facilitate cross-functional architecture discussions and decision making

  • Lead training and enablement for architects across domains


**⠀Metadata & Repository Stewardship**

  • Govern BlueDolphin usage across teams and ensure metadata quality and consistency

  • Maintain and enhance architecture taxonomies and convention models

  • Promote repository best practices and ensure accurate reflection of enterprise architecture


**⠀Platform & Technology Enablement**

  • Foster a platform mindset and composable architecture approach across teams

  • Partner with teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions

  • Guide architectural reviews for strategic initiatives and high-impact projects


**⠀Training & Communication**

  • Serve as a lead communicator and trainer for DX architecture standards and practices

  • Drive adoption of architecture decisions, standards, and scorecards across delivery teams

  • Produce clear, actionable, and consumable documentation and communications for a range of audiences


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong leadership and experience managing or mentoring architecture teams

  • Proven ability to influence without authority across technical and business domains

  • Deep experience using architecture repository tools such as BlueDolphin, Sparx, Mega, or Troux

  • Experience defining and applying metadata models, taxonomy relationships, and governance

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-domain architectural initiatives and guide decision processes

  • Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions to business stakeholders

  • 10 years+ experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect experience for multiple domains (Preferably an Enterprise Architect)

  • 8 to 10 years Engineering experience in multiple languages both Front-end and Back-end

  • 8 to 10 years of experience working with Relational and Non-Relational Databases


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering architecture in platform-oriented and product-led organizations

  • Background in implementing API design and messaging standards

  • Knowledge of security-by-design principles and secure architecture practices

  • Experience integrating SaaS solutions and working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Familiarity with architecture maturity models and scorecards

  • Professional certifications such as TOGAF, Archimate, or equivalent enterprise architecture certifications are highly desirable

  • 8 years+ experience working with cloud vendors

  • Experience of working in products/applications with SaaS Vendors implementations

  • Experience of messaging patterns and API design best practices

  • Experience of working in products/applications implementing Security best practices and security by design

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) preferred ⠀
