Commerce, Data & Identity (CDI) provides the core product management functions for areas crucial to Disney’s media businesses. These include initiatives and products that power digital commerce, identity, and growth, as well as those that reach uniquely across The Walt Disney Company enterprise, such as messaging and privacy, among others. Additionally, it is responsible for the data engineering, science, and products for Disney Entertainment & ESPN, along with their interconnection with other parts of The Walt Disney Company.
About The Role
We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and execution of privacy compliance and consent management solutions. As a Product Manager, you will drive the roadmap, and delivery of privacy, consent management, and global data compliance solutions. You will work at the intersection of data platform engineering, legal/privacy compliance, and user trust, ensuring our platforms meet evolving regulatory requirements and deliver seamless, transparent experiences for millions of users worldwide.
This strategic leadership position is focused on driving governance solutions, ensuring compliance, and delivering value to customers. This role requires a blend of deep product sense, technical expertise, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You’ll drive the development of products and platform services that enable our enterprise to meet evolving privacy regulations (like GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA) while also delivering seamless experiences for customers.
Responsibilities
Define and maintain the roadmap for Privacy Compliance and Consent Management domains.
Translate complex global regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, etc.) into scalable, user-friendly platform capabilities, including consent capture, data subject request workflows, and privacy preference centers..
Architect and oversee the development of robust platform services and APIs that enable seamless integration with CMPs and other privacy-related technologies.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement technical solutions for complex consent management workflows, including data flows, lineage, and auditability.
Map and optimize data flows related to consent management, ensuring end-to-end traceability and compliance.
Design solutions for capturing, storing, and processing consent signals across multiple systems and services.
Implement data lineage frameworks to track consent status, changes, and usage throughout the data lifecycle.
Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, legal, privacy, product) through ideation, development, launch, and adoption of privacy and consent management solutions.
Ensure solutions meet both internal operational needs and external customer-facing requirements, with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and performance.
Define and track metrics to measure the success and impact of privacy and consent management products (e.g., consent opt-in rates, DSAR resolution time, audit readiness, data lineage completeness).
Report on compliance posture and solution effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in enterprise software development, and prior experience as a product manager.
- Demonstrated experience with CMP systems (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc) and deep technical knowledge of their integration with underlying data platforms and services.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing data flows, lineage, and solution architectures for complex consent management workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
- Effective communicator, able to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skilled at influencing cross-functional teams and driving positive outcomes for privacy and compliance initiatives.
- Hands-on experience configuring, managing, or integrating with CMPs and privacy management tools (OneTrust, TrustArc, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with global privacy regulations and best practices in consent management.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $114,900 to $154,100 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
