Would you enjoy collaborating closely with operating partners to create lifelong memories for Guests of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products?  Do you love to learn about business models which include live entertainment, attraction maintenance, food & beverage, project management, and retail operations?  Are you naturally curious about understanding the “why” behind business performance?

As a Financial Analyst on the Disneyland Resort Operations Finance team, you would get to analyze metrics and trends to understand business results.  You would provide key input on new business models and initiatives, designed to directly improve Guest experiences and drive shareholder value.  You would work closely with operations leaders and partners to make a difference.

The financial analyst will report to the Manager, Finance.

What You Will Do

  • Business Goal Achievement – Evaluate key business drivers to measure the success of Disneyland Resort Park Operations and Facility Asset Management.
  • Support financial planning processes across key business cycles, including Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, and Monthly/Quarterly financial reviews inclusive of cost trending analysis and operating income cause of change analysis. 
  • Partner Collaboration – Develop and maintain relationships with partners at the Disneyland Resort to frequently review financial results, analyze and consult on business decisions.
  • Make changes to the operation, drive new initiatives, and identify financial impacts of strategic opportunities.
  • Communication - Organize written and verbal communication that conveys data and analysis to partners at all levels, including General Managers and Vice Presidents.
  • Ability to shift between technical and non-technical terminology depending on audience.
  • Data Visualization – Leverage data visualization techniques, tools, and communication skills to present complex analytical findings in clear business terms that facilitate acceptance, decision-making, and execution by business partners.
  • Innovation - Drive efficiency through process improvements, including maintaining and creating financial models, templates, and planning processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with statistical, financial, or strategic analysis
  • Knowledge of forecasting and financial modeling, including proficiency in acquiring, organizing, and analyzing large amounts of data
  • The ability to explain complex analytics in a way that is easily understandable and executable, and enjoy “storytelling” to engage and influence your audience
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy, and the ability to think holistically
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Natural curiosity and inquisitiveness, and enjoy solving problems
  • The ability to work in a team environment, in person and virtually, with a positive demeanor
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize multiple systems and tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and Longview, to understand, review, and summarize operating performance
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in Excel, including basic knowledge of Power Query and PowerPoint 
  • Experience with basic data visualization using tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, California is $87,200.00 to $106,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
