As the Planner/Scheduler 1, you will provide strategic and detailed planning, scheduling, and materials control to support Engineering Services Integration attraction planning within the Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) organization. 

 

You will report to the Manager-Facilities Shared Services Planning. 

 

What You Will Do: 

  • Provide strategic and detailed planning, scheduling, and materials control to support Facilities and Operations Services Planning 

  • Maintain Asset, Job Plans, and Preventative Maintenance records in the Maximo EAM/CMMS system; support compliance and show quality standards 

  • Prepare and publish comprehensive forecasted schedules, working with supported teams to ensure labor and material are available 

  • Coordinate activities with Resort partners (e.g., Walt Disney Imagineering, Manufacturing, Distribution Services, Transportation, Operations, Safety, Engineering, Training, and Systems Teams) 

  • Translate Engineering Services, Engineering, and craft communication into work instructions and job plans 

  • Support strategy for long-term downtimes or rehabs 

  • Participate in audits to ensure documentation and execution against standards 

  • Implement processes to enhance the efficiencies around work execution 

  • Present recommendations and influence partners and peers 

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

  • 1 or more years of proven experience with concise technical writing in an academic or work environment 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Application Suite and standard software programs and mobile electronic devices 

  • Proficiency in interpreting drawings 

  • Well-defined organizational tactics to balance time according to priority 

  • Proven proofreading skills 

  • Diagnostic and evaluation skills with the ability to remove obstacles 

  • Understanding how to consolidate multiple sources of information/analyses into a cohesive story and recommendation. 

  • Willing to work evenings, holidays, weekends, and varying shifts including 3rd shift and working extended hours to complete time-sensitive tasks. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience Planning Maintenance, Manufacturing, or Projects. 

  • Experience with EAM/CMMS systems. 

  • Experience with Analytical/Reporting tools, such as Business Objects, Cognos, Birt, or similar 

  • Demonstrated proficiency with scheduling solutions, such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Prometheus AkWire vScheduler 

  • Experience with Materials Management 

  • Experience building and presenting a compelling story to facilitate business discussion 

  • Experience in Facilities Systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen appliance) 

  • APICS CPIM certification 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.

The hiring range for this position in California is $71,700 - $87,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
