Job Summary:

About the Role & Team 

The Senior Operations Training Manager will support F&B, Retail and DPI and develop innovative training strategies, lead process improvement efforts, and be an advocate for change. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, design and activation of training strategies in support of line of business and resort priorities, build strategic and sustainable relationships with Operations leadership teams, own the integration and sustainment of Disneyland Resort training processes and standards, assess training efficiency for hourly and salaried Cast. This role will work closely with Operations leaders, Experience Optimization (EO) Product Optimization (PO), and Documentation teams to design and implement training strategies to support business needs.

Interested candidates should have a flexible schedule considering all days of the week, times of day, and may flex based on business priorities, audience and training needs.

This role will report to the Sr Mgr-Ops Training & Development.

What You Will Do: 

  • Develop training strategy and implementation plans for base case training needs, new business initiatives, large-scale projects, and resort priorities as required. 

  • Lead and manage projects collaborating with key stakeholders and delegating deliverables across the teams. 

  • Lead and influence operating leaders to drive compliance of all required training. 

  • Collaborate with Operations leaders, EO and PO partners, to design and activate integrated training strategies to support line of business and Resort business priorities. 

  • Lead integration of key partners in training strategy design to allow for inclusive strategy development, resulting in effective training documentation, tools, and training delivery. 

  • Advocate activation and sustainment of leadership training strategy. 

  • Own the development, implementation and follow-through for new leader onboarding/transition plans. 

  • You will provide day-to-day leadership and direction to salaried leaders, and Office and Technical Cast.

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

  • 5+ years of leadership experience with direct reports responsibility 

  • Optimally lead others through change 

  • Lead both directly and indirectly at all levels 

  • Effective collaboration and integration skills 

  • Technology proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of resort business priorities and practices 

  • Proficiency in planning and problem-solving 

  • Work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment 

  • Integrate multiple groups driving towards a common goal 

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals 

  • Strong facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Leader of salaried leader's experience 

  • Experience in Operations, Human Resources, Training, Project Management, or other related fields

Preferred Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, related field, or relevant level of experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $87,100.00-$116,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
