The Senior Safety Professional, supporting Construction Safety Management position serves as a key technical resource for project construction safety for Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) project(s).
This is a temporary Project Hire role until October 2028
The Senior Safety Professional will report to a Senior Manager, Worldwide Safety.
What You Will Do
On any given day, as a Senior Safety Professional, you might:
- Partner with contractors to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards and practices including trenching, scaffolding, fall protection, electrical, cranes, heavy equipment, etc.
- Investigate and propose innovative and practical safety solutions to while ensuring risk mitigation/minimization and safety/regulatory compliance.
- Articulate to project leadership and contractors applicable standards, regulations, data (lagging and leading), emerging technologies, best practices, and risk reduction techniques.
- Provide construction safety risk and safety input during all phases of projects.
- Effectively communicate identified trends, significant near misses and incidents with project and safety leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:
- 5+ years of construction safety, industrial safety and health experience, safety engineering, or related.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory and industry standards and best practices as well as internal company standards and business practices.
- Self-driven and resourceful professional with the ability to solve problems outside areas of expertise.
- Experience in safety of multi-trade construction activities and construction safety industry/regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to operate within an ambiguous and changing environment.
- Proven strong planning, organization and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations.
- Demonstrated strong consultative and influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
It would be great if you also have:
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.
- OSHA 500 trainer.
Required Education :
Bachelor degree
Preferred Education :
- Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Construction Safety, Engineering, Architecture or related.
- Advanced degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, Construction Safety, Engineering, Architecture or related.

The hiring range for this position in California is $105,100.00-$140,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
