Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, to spearhead the recruiting strategy and execution for establishing and growing Disney’s Technology Center in Bangalore, India.   He/She will be responsible for the full Talent Acquisition function in India supporting all business groups.  This is a unique opportunity to build a high-performing team from the ground up. The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to attract, engage, and hire top technical talent across various disciplines, including software engineering, data science and engineering, product management, security engineering and operations, etc.. This role requires a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of the technology landscape in India, exceptional problem solving, and a passion for building diverse and inclusive teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy for the India Technology Center, aligned with business objectives and growth plans, as well as collaborate closely with the global and regional TA team.
  • Identify key talent pools, target organizations, and sourcing channels to attract top technical talent in the Indian market.
  • Create innovative and effective recruitment marketing campaigns to build awareness of the Disney brand and the exciting opportunities at Disney.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, hiring managers, HRBP and COEs, Finance, Comms, locally and in the U.S.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external recruitment agencies and management of vendors.
  • Build and lead a team of experienced recruiters and sourcers, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, results-oriented, and inclusive team environment.
  • Manage team workload, allocate resources effectively, and ensure that recruiting goals are met.
  • Ensure that recruiting and hiring practices comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Implement best-in-class recruitment practices and technologies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and candidate experience.
  • Track and analyze key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source of hire, diversity statistics) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the progress of the talent acquisition strategy.


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with solid experience on technical recruiting. 
  • Strong understanding of HR general functions, philosophies, and processes, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and deliver comprehensive TA strategy as part of an overall people solution.
  • Ability to understand and relate to multiple stakeholders from various disciplines (e.g., finance, legal, Comms, Marketing etc.)
  • Proven experience building and leading high-performing recruiting teams.
  • Deep understanding of the India technology landscape and talent market.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices, sourcing strategies, and assessment methodologies.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment technologies.
  • Experience with managing agencies and 3rd party recruitment vendors
  • Ability and appetite to be “hands on” and actively recruit as needed
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and talent advisory skills.
  • Ability to be hands on; work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical abilities to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Passion for building diverse and inclusive teams.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience gained within an international, matrixed organization)
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources/ business or related field, highly regarded
