About the Role & Team

The Walt Disney Studios is seeking a Technical Associate Project Manager to support our studio technology teams in post-production engineering. In this role, you will help drive technology implementation projects for Disney banners—including Disney Motion Picture Productions, Marvel Studios, Twentieth Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures—as well as Enterprise Tech and Corporate. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Studio Technology Operations and Insights and play a key part in delivering innovative solutions across the studio.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate and support the execution of integration, development, and technical projects with cross-functional teams (hardware and development engineers, designers, implementors).
  • Lead multiple concurrent technology initiatives of small to moderate complexity, serving as the primary stakeholder contact throughout the project lifecycle—including intake, use case definition, charter and scope, project planning, capacity allocation, resource assignment, execution, and post-mortems.
  • Create project plans for select initiatives in coordination with other APMs/PMs on the team.
  • Manage the intake, documentation, and coordination of project and task requests from clients across the Studio via calls, direct requests, emails, and ticketing systems.
  • Answer phones/emails from stakeholder requestors and communicate status.
  • Collaborate with other project and resource managers to assign resources, prioritize tasks, and ensure optimal resource availability.
  • Support daily project management functions, such as meeting notes, action item follow-ups, and project communications.
  • Support sprint ceremonies, including planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and reporting; develop familiarity with project KPIs and dashboards.
  • Update tasks in project management and ticketing tools (e.g., Smartsheet, JIRA, Jira Service Management, Scheduall).
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding updates and task coordination using organizational tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Jira Service Management).
     

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in project management, technical coordination, or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and organize work efficiently.
  • Proficiency with project management and communication tools: JIRA, JIRA Service Manager, Smartsheet, Scheduall, and Microsoft Office (including Outlook and Teams).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using PowerBi is a plus.
     

Required Education

  • Associates Degree alongside relevant technical experience.
     

Additional Information

  • This role is based in the Burbank office 4 days a week from Monday through Thursday and flexibility to work from home on Friday

     

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $89,000.00 - $119,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
