We’re seeking a visionary Group Creative Director; a master storyteller, a strategic thinker, and an inspiring team leader. You’ll be instrumental in shaping bold, breakthrough campaigns that work across digital, social, streaming, and emerging platforms. With a strong foundation in writing and a passion for narrative craft, you’ll develop ideas that resonate deeply and authentically with audiences. The Group Creative Director should be a creative powerhouse with a passion for the written word and a portfolio that showcases award-winning storytelling across platforms and a digital native with deep expertise in social media storytelling and platform dynamics.

This is a rare opportunity to lead with both head and heart, combining creative intuition, strategic insight, and technological fluency to push the boundaries of what’s possible in brand storytelling.

You’ll report to the Director, Creative.

This is a full-time position.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the creative vision across multiple business lines, guiding both concept and execution from ideation to delivery.

  • Inspire and mentor creative teams, fostering craft excellence and professional growth.

  • Stay hands-on throughout the creative process—balancing big-picture thinking with sharp attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to shape strategic direction and deliver standout creative work.

  • Drive ideas that span digital, social, experiential, and traditional media—with an emphasis on emerging platforms and evolving storytelling formats.

  • Champion a storytelling-first approach grounded in consumer insight and cultural relevance.

  • Oversee day-to-day workstreams in partnership with Resource and Account Management to ensure deadlines, budgets, and creative excellence are aligned.

  • Cultivate a diverse and inclusive environment where bold ideas are welcomed, and multiple perspectives are valued.

  • Present high-level creative concepts to stakeholders at all levels, articulating vision with clarity and confidence.

  • Lead vendor and production teams with creativity and efficiency to bring world-class content to life.

  • Inspire, motivate, and challenge teams to elevate their craft and look beyond the brief to uncover powerful ideas that connect.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within an agency or brand environment.

  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, integrated and trend-driven campaigns across digital, social, experiential, and broadcast.

  • Mastery of creative software (PowerPoint, Keynote) and presentation tools.

  • Deep understanding of audience behavior, platform trends, and consumer insights.

  • Experience mentoring and managing multiple creative teams.

  • A hybrid creative skillset spanning concept development, strategy, production, and emerging tech.

  • A forward-thinking mindset with an eye on innovation and future formats.

  • Passion for Disney and a deep appreciation for its storytelling legacy including film, animation, television, and theme parks.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

The base salary for this position in Glendale, CA is $153,200.00-$205,400.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
