What You Will Do

The Senior Manager, Management Audit PMO reports to the SVP, Management Audit and Global Product & Labor Standards. This individual will drive organizational success and deliver value to key audit stakeholders by overseeing administrative processes and coordinating key initiatives and special projects of the department. The Senior Manager manages the scheduling of a team of audit professionals and serves as the main point of contact with co-sourced firm management to identify and select co-sourced resources for rotation onto the Disney Management Audit (MA) engagement. The position regularly interacts with all levels of TWDC management and handles sensitive and complex information supporting MA’s annual risk assessment and annual audit plan development process both domestically and internationally. This role requires someone who is not only flexible but also proactive in identifying and responding to challenges.

This role requires an understanding of the broad TWDC organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, communication and project management skills.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead MA’s annual audit planning committee and coordinate all aspects of the annual audit planning and risk assessment processes
  • Schedule audits throughout the fiscal year to ensure appropriate resource availability and allocation, including coordination of internal and co-sourced resources to execute audits on-time and within scope and budget
  • Lead the development of the annual departmental operating plan; monitor budget to actual performance; prepare periodic forecasts as required
  • Manage changes to the annual audit plan, audit schedule, or budget
  • Establish, measure and report department performance against key metrics using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Create effective presentations and reports for Senior Management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across the department committees and team
  • Coordinate the internal audit quality review process
  • Identify and implement departmental process enhancements and best practices, including implementation of audit management software, standard report language, rapid audit reporting options, rolling audit planning process, etc.
  • Coordinate departmental initiatives in a project manager capacity 
  • Successfully manage the relationship between Management Audit and key stakeholders
  • Coach, train and mentor analysts in improving internal audit and data analytic skills
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years public accounting, auditing, and accounting experience (Big 4 audit experience preferred)
  • Practical hands-on management experience with the internal audit function of a reputable public company desired
  • Possess executive presence, excellent communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to tailor messages to influence at all levels within the organization, including senior executive level management
  • Superior project management skills; Experience managing large budgets and multiple projects or engagements simultaneously within a flexible team environment
  • Detail-oriented, able to work independently, and take ownership of their projects and workflow
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills supported by root cause analysis
  • Track record of thriving in fast-paced, dynamic work environments. Can quickly execute changes and pivot in response to evolving priorities
  • Strong technical accounting and auditing skills and knowledge of internal control practices
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite with strong capabilities in document creation, editing, data analysis, and presentation design
  • Skilled with technology and naturally curious about using technological tools to support audit processes and to improve daily efficiency
  • Can work under pressure and communicate in all directions; Instills purpose and confidence
  • Ability to position oneself as a strategic partner to assist audit stakeholders in meeting company objectives
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, as needed

Required Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or business
  • CPA or CIA required or other relevant professional certification


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $168,200.00 to $205,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
