We are looking for an experienced Transfer Pricing Manager to join our team in London, on a 12 month Fixed-Term basis!

Based in our London office in Hammersmith, the EMEA Transfer Pricing team is looking for a Manager to support our businesses with their transfer pricing obligations.

The successful candidate will work with the Principal, International Transfer Pricing Operations and report to a Senior Manager Transfer Pricing, collaborating with the transfer pricing team in the US as well as with the broader tax, finance and legal teams in the UK. The role will encompass transfer pricing compliance, audit support, review of operational transfer pricing calculations as well as support with ad hoc transfer pricing projects.

Disney has operations in multiple countries worldwide and so hands-on experience of working in a large tax team, either in practice or in-house, and advising on inter-company transactions is critical.  Disney outsources the production of its transfer pricing documentation to a Big 4 provider and therefore experience of such a partnership, either from the perspective of being the provider or recipient would be advantageous.

What You Will Do

Operational Transfer Pricing and Compliance

  • Supporting the EMEA transfer pricing documentation compliance process and reviewing transfer pricing documentation reports for the EMEA region.

  • Responsible for reviewing EMEA operational transfer pricing calculations to confirm they reflect the relevant TP policies. 

  • Provide oversight of intercompany governance processes to ensure alignment between TP policies, legal agreements and financial execution.

  • Collaborating with the US transfer pricing team and broader tax team to provide EMEA input to various global processes, for example review of Global Master File, CBCR table 2 etc).

  • Collaborating with the legal team to ensure that any new inter-company legal agreements are implemented effectively.

Transfer Pricing Advisory

  • Dealing with ad hoc transfer pricing queries raised by local business teams.

  • Providing support to the International TP Principal and TP Senior Managers in respect of tax authority engagement across the EMEA region, including tax audits, APA processes and MAPs. Specifically supporting with gathering data and drafting responses for information requests.  

  • Providing support with ad hoc projects and transfer pricing analysis required to inform transfer pricing strategy, for example in respect of business changes, working as appropriate with the tax business partner groups.

  • Contributing to the ongoing transformation efforts of the international transfer pricing function of the future (including working on automation and other transformation efforts etc).

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified ACA/CTA or similar qualification  

  • Minimum 5 years+ experience in transfer pricing either in-house or in practice 

  • Experience in both transfer pricing documentation as well as advisory

  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral including the ability to work across different cultures

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
