We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to make a meaningful impact and be part of our CS Physical and Localisation team here at Disney!

Our CS Physical and Localisation team is responsible for the sales, distribution and marketing of up to 20 cinematic new releases per year in the physical home entertainment category along with the large library slate across Disney and 20th Century brands and 3rd party distribution deals. In addition, the team is responsible for FP&A activity in relation to the EMEA costs for localisation. 

As a Senior Finance Analyst within the team, the successful postholder will be responsible for delivering an effective, timely and accurate AOP, Forecast, FYP and close process across EMEA and consolidating the story. The role requires effective collaboration with financial and non-financial business partners, working with key budget holders as needed and proactive identification of opportunities for business improvement. The senior finance analyst must be able to apply business knowledge and insights to data to assess implications on financials.

Please note: This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

What You Will Do

Delivery

  • Enhance and improve finance processes providing proposals for process efficiencies to enable more time supporting key stakeholders on business insights and analysis

  • Analyse and interpret Home Entertainment business information to identify high level trends and issues

  • Consolidate localisation data across EMEA and different lines of businesses to provide insights to Senior Management

  • Support end-to-end processes within a full planning cycle (e.g. forecasting, AOP, reporting, close etc) to ensure effective financial management across both business areas

  • Develop and deliver Localisation and Home Entertainment finance presentations for key business stakeholders both in regional as well as within markets as part of the centre of excellence to inform thinking about future business management

  • Use own initiative to highlight problems before they arise and propose solutions to mitigate business risk

  • Take responsibility for discrete Finance projects to deliver improved financial management or systems to a part of the business

Business partnering-

  • Build relationships with key business stakeholders to provide specialist advice, guidance and support to decisions around future business direction

  • Influence key budget holders on the basis of identified risks and opportunities to help guide on financial management and planning

  • Share knowledge effectively across the function to support the development of others

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • An experienced Finance Analyst, possessing an accounting qualification e.g. ACCA, CIMA

  • Experience of supporting commercial management to a high standard and working with a Regional Finance and Commercial head office

  • Demonstrable track record of providing commercial support that is insightful, timely and responsive

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to produce clear and insightful analysis that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail

  • Numerate and analytical with a desire to think through and resolve problems

  • Proficient in spreadsheets, MS Office and financial software applications

  • Results focused and outcome driven
