Job Summary:

FX is seeking a Coordinator to support consumer print and electronic media campaigns for the FX Publicity team. Responsibilities include updating program listings, maintaining status reports, press lists, and contact sheets, drafting and distributing press materials and itineraries, and providing general administrative support for the department executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and edit press materials (e.g., lead story, bios, media guides) for assigned series
  • Create and maintain individual show status reports
  • Maintain internal and confidential materials including contact sheets, press lists, and research documents
  • Create and distribute talent itineraries for appearances, press tours and events
  • Select electronic clips for talent media appearances, partner with Legal, and deliver assets
  • Draft and distribute tune-in alerts for talent media appearances
  • Collect and generate supporting materials for events (SDCC, ATX, NYCC, etc.)
  • Assist with events, set visits, press interviews, etc., as needed
  • Verify and distribute program listing updates to the national media services and listing providers
  • Provide administrative support to the executives including arranging travel and submitting expense reports
  • Provide general department support as needed including organizing meetings, overnighting packages, and maintaining schedules, records, and archives.

Requirements:

  • Four year college degree in Communications preferred or related work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in a publicity department required
  • Strong verbal communication and excellent interpersonal skills needed. Must be able to work well under pressure and tactfully with various personalities.
  • Must be motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, personable, reliable, self-assured, and able to prioritize work with minimal direction.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with senior executives, media personnel, talent, and their representatives.
  • Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
  • Awareness of social media trends
  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends as needed to assist with events


The hiring range for this position in California is $52,000 to $71,300 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
