The Walt Disney Studios encompasses the creation, production, promotion, sales, acquisition and domestic and international distribution of live-action and animated motion pictures, DVD releases, live stage plays, and music and soundtrack recordings. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures is a fast-paced division responsible for operations, entertainment and sales for the El Capitan Theatre, Disney’s flagship right in the heart of Hollywood, in addition to producing multiple world premieres and company-wide events. This internship is a full-time, three-month commitment in the Hollywood, California area from June-August 2026.

What You Will Do

The ideal candidate will support the El Capitan and Disney Studio Store Operations and Production teams working on all aspects of Theatrical Exhibition, Retail, Marketing and Live Entertainment. Highlights will include the special El Capitan engagements and World Premieres plus other El Capitan supported events with these possible job responsibilities: 

  • Theatre operations
  • Retail operations
  • Marketing and ticket sales
  • Coordinating talent, schedules and other production operations
  • Planning and organizing future events and sales programs

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Energetic personality and strong work ethic
  • Ability to think on feet in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and be detail oriented
  • Ability to work with a team to create and share ideas
  • Strong computer skills with a variety of program experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior retail skills with customer service
  • Experience in theatre arts and/or stage management
  • Social media and computer graphics experience

Education

  • Junior or Senior year preferred
  • Major or previous coursework in Business, Media Studies, Theatre, Marketing, Operations Management, or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Fully available with a consistent and reliable work schedule from June to August 2026 for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship program in the Hollywood, California area

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
