Andscape, a content studio that explores the depth of Black identity through its power in sports and culture, is seeking a Senior Manager, Social Media, to lead and execute a multi-platform content strategy. This individual will oversee the growth, strategy, and workflow of Andscape’s social platforms, ensuring alignment with the brand’s identity, audience engagement goals, and broader content initiatives. Reporting to the VP & Head of Storytelling, the Senior Manager will play a key role in shaping Andscape’s social presence while working closely with editorial, video, and marketing teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative, with a deep understanding of how sports and culture intersect with Black identity. They must have a track record of building brand engagement across social platforms, leveraging data-driven strategies, and optimizing content for maximum reach and impact.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, overseeing social media strategy, community management, and emerging-platform innovation.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across all Andscape platforms, with a primary focus on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Develop and lead Andscape’s global social strategy, aligning it with organizational brand, audience development, and monetization goals.
- Manage departmental budget, staffing strategy, and external agency/vendor relationships to drive operational efficiency and innovation.
- Serves as primary social strategy advisor to senior leadership and partners across Disney platforms to drive unified content experiences.
- Drives audience and revenue growth through innovative platform strategies, audience segmentation, and branded content partnerships.
- Lead the day-to-day management of Andscape’s social channels, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement.
- Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to inform social strategy, including SEO and audience insights, and optimize content distribution across platforms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including ESPN Social, Disney partners, editorial, and marketing teams, to integrate social media into broader brand initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cross-platform content integration, aligning social, digital, and linear distribution strategies.
- Develop and oversee social media video distribution, working closely with the Senior Manager, Digital Video, to enhance audience reach and engagement.
- Monitor platform analytics, ad performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize monetization opportunities and optimize social content strategies.
- Stay ahead of trends in social media, sports, and Black cultural storytelling, ensuring Andscape remains a leader in culturally resonant digital content.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in social media strategy, digital content management, or audience development.
- Strong expertise in SEO, social media analytics, and digital content optimization.
- Deep understanding of Black culture, sports, and cultural moments that drive social engagement.
- Experience managing social video content, with a strong grasp of platform-specific best practices (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Threads).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in video editing and content production for social media platforms.
- Proficiency in non-linear editing tools (Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, etc.).
- Background in a mobile-first content environment with an emphasis on audience engagement and growth strategies.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY is $110,960 to $159,800 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
