Team Description:
The Technology Enablement and Adoption (TEA) organization’s mission is to ensure TWDC employees are aware of Company technologies, which includes knowing how to use these products well, and in ways that can enhance the way they work. Our cross-functional team of OCM managers, customer success managers, knowledge managers and communications specialists increase productivity and engagement amongst TWDC cast members and employees who utilize Enterprise Technology services and products. The chief methods of achieving this purpose are to evangelize technology offerings, develop adoption and organizational change management strategies, and provide guidance and training, as well as the voice of the customer.
Responsibilities of Role:
The Senior Technology Communications Specialist is passionate about technology and its ability to transform the employee experience. This individual must possess a unique combination of technical acumen, writing ability, creativity, and marketing savvy – with the ability to craft clear, concise, and effective messaging from complex technical information for employees.
• Act as a communications subject matter expert on behalf of the Enterprise Technology organization for any internal communications on new programs, services, tools, or policy changes that need to be widely distributed to employees across the Company
• Develop comprehensive communication plans for both technical and end-user audiences, from initial research to implementation.
• Translate complex technical communications into an easily digestible, Disney voice for employees
• Execute on multiple communication strategies while keeping in mind timing, prioritization, and messaging cohesion
• Manage various editorial calendars, coordinate and help prioritize multiple communications requests, oversee approvals, and manage complex content distribution.
• Use HTML and CMS skills to create email templates and post digital content; apply intermediate design abilities to edit or produce creative assets.
• Have intermediate design skills, be able to edit templates and images and produce original creative for communications materials as needed
• Create and distribute content for established brands, including D Tools IT, Inside Enterprise Technology, the D Tools IT Newsfeed on MyDisneyToday, the Exec Circuit
• Create, edit, and distribute executive communications on behalf of senior leadership
• Work closely with communications, video, graphics, premier services, and events partners from across the company to develop compelling content for distribution
• Define, capture and report on KPIs/Metrics, focusing on historical trends, themes, and new engagement opportunities
• Proactively find opportunities to further amplify products across various channels to audiences across the company Must Haves:
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience
• Background in writing and content creation for communications
• Strong written and verbal skills; able to craft messages for varied audiences
• Skilled at developing and executing communication campaigns
• Familiar with web/digital platforms (HTML, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, WordPress)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, Forms, Teams)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work with all levels and recognize the importance of multiple perspectives and differing viewpoints
• Quick learner with ability to prioritize work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and flexibly adapt to changing direction when required
• Innate sense of curiosity, with a passion for new technologies and their implementation
Nice To Haves:
• Disney or entertainment industry experience preferred
• Internal communications background
• Skilled in design, graphics, presentations; proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Keynote
• Experience in social media marketing
• Ability to think outside of the box and challenge norms with a continuous improvement mindset
• Highly accountable, with ability to treat sensitive information with extreme confidentiality
Education:
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in Florida is $91,000.00 to $121,900.00 per year, in Burbank is $95,500.00 to $128,000.00 per year, and in Seattle is $100,100.00 to $134,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
