This role supports the language quality management of Disney’s localized content, including subtitling and dubbing. The position focuses on ensuring linguistic accuracy and consistency across titles. While the primary responsibility is to support localization workflows, there may be opportunities to gradually take on additional operational tasks over time.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Establish strong working relationships and maintain effective communication with global vendors, local dubbing vendors, and relevant LOBs
  • Manage schedules with dubbing and subtitling vendors and internal business units
  • Review English to Korean translations for linguistic errors and ensure consistency in KNPs
  • Perform quality control on translated subtitling and dubbing scripts across various content types, including shorts, games, toys, TV series, documentaries, and theatrical movies
  • Ensure all tracking systems and databases are consistently updated and maintained
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams on terminology queries and other translation-related inquiries
  • Stay alert and be aware of trends on use of languages for both subtitling and dubbing, within and outside of Korea

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in localization (subtitling or dubbing)
  • Experience in project management

Desirable:

  • Proven track record in localization and/or language quality management
  • Working knowledge of sound recording and/or dubbing production
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Pro Tools
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Excellent writing skills in Korean
  • Deep understanding of Disney brands including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Fox contents
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders across all levels of the organization and Global partners
  • Hands-on experience using cloud-based localization tools for subtitling and dubbing workflows

Media savvy, with strong external awareness of:

  • Emerging and established talent in movie and music industry
  • Technological innovations that may impact the business
